Verivorst (Estonian Blood Sausage)

Verivorst is a traditional Estonian blood sausage, particularly popular during the Christmas season. It has a rich, savory flavor and a distinctive texture, often served with lingonberry jam.

Ingredients
- 500 g Blood sausage
- 1 tbsp Butter or oil
Instructions
- Remove the verivorst from its packaging.
- Heat butter or oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
- Place the verivorst in the hot pan. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sausages are golden brown and heated through. The casing should be crispy and the filling hot.
- Alternatively, you can bake verivorst in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for 20-30 minutes, turning once, until cooked through and crispy.
- Serve hot, traditionally with lingonberry jam, sauerkraut, or roasted potatoes.
