Golden pan-fried American crab cakes served warm with lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and seasoning.
  2. Gently fold in the crab meat, parsley, and breadcrumbs. Be careful not to break up the crab too much.
  3. Form the mixture into small patties (about 5–6 cm wide).
  4. Chill in the fridge for 20–30 minutes to help them hold together.
  5. Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the crab cakes for about 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and heated through.
  7. Serving:

  9. Add a dipping sauce like tartar sauce, aioli, or a simple spicy mayo.
  10. Garnish with fresh herbs for a nice presentation.
