Beef Stew

Ingredients
- 700 g Beef chunks (chuck roast)
- 2 medium Carrots
- 3 medium Potatoes
- 1 large Onion
- 700 ml Beef broth
- 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 0.25 tsp Black pepper
Instructions
- Pat beef chunks dry and season with salt and pepper. Dredge lightly in flour.
- Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven or heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat. Brown the beef in batches until seared on all sides. Remove beef and set aside.
- Add chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Return beef to the pot. Add chopped carrots and potatoes. Pour in beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for at least 2 hours, or until beef is fork-tender and vegetables are cooked through. Stir occasionally.
