Daiquiri

Daiquiri in a coupe glass with a lime twist

A classic daiquiri of white rum, freshly squeezed lime juice and sugar syrup, shaken hard with ice and strained into a chilled coupe without ice.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Pour the rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup into a shaker.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice.
  3. Shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Strain into a chilled coupe glass without ice.
  5. Serve immediately.
  6. 💡 Tips (for a more elevated variation): Use a higher-quality rum for a more complex flavor. Taste to adjust the balance: more lime for acidity, more simple syrup for a rounder, smoother taste. Chill the glass before serving for a proper bar experience. Use clear ice in the shaker.
  7. For an extra-luxurious Daiquiri: Add 0.5–1 cl raw sugar or demerara syrup, or a few drops of saline solution (which enhances the flavors remarkably well); you can also try a dash of orange liqueur for extra depth.
